A great story from heart awareness last month.  Robin arrived at Oklahoma Rehabilitation Hospital after experiencing a critical cardiac event, which required cardiac surgery.  

 

She had significant pain, fatigue, and greatly impaired balance and control in accomplishing daily tasks.  Due to some of the decreased oxygen to her brain from the cardiac event, Robin was also having some problems with her short-term memory and safety awareness.

 

Robin was an ALL-STAR patient and graduated from our inpatient rehab therapy services after only 10 days! Thanks to Robin’s drive alongside her dedicated Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists, she was able to walk out of our rehab hospital without any assist devices or help with everyday tasks.  

 

We are honored we were able to provide rehab therapy to Robin so she could return home to her husband!
